Well, the Valiant is down and out till new parts come in, so I resigned myself to listening to the restored Collins R388. Changed bands to listen to 20m from 40m, and then the drum quits moving but the knob, she keep a clickin'. The new cable to the drum apparently came off. It was a beyatch to put it on in the first place.

Always one extra thing to fix than you planned on......

I'm almost in the same boat. Just cycling around putting out fires. I want to get to some major projects "Harry-Homeowner" and Honey-doos before attacking the Ham projects.
I have a magnetic loop antenna I want to build 80-20M.
