Does anyone out there in radio land, know anything about this box.  I got it at the Atlanta Hamfest and it appears to be a VHF amp.  It came with a 4-400C plugged in which I removed for the photos.  A vacuum cap and some nice hardware in there, and for $35.00 I thought it was worth it.

Looks more like a 10/11 meter amp.

Could be, it was factory built, but I can find no name, and I saw two more exactly like it at other vendors!

Agree with Pete. That coil screams 27.185 megacycles. At one time that freq. was used for diathermy. Still is.  Grin

Well, whatever it was, it will become the basis for my next transmitter.  The 4-400 can stay and their is enough room for a 120 pf tuning and a 900 pf loading cap, a bigger plate choke, and we are groovin'. think I will drill some holes in the removeable rear door and add a cooling fan to draw out the hot air.  This could be nice. Your input is welcome and appreciated.

That coil looks more like 13.560 ISM band.

Might be Carl, course I could be the only 23 meter pirate I guess...
But on the other hand, I think this one will come join us on 80 and /or 40.

Air pressure from chassis to cool plate cap.

I agree it is a rf generator or amp for industrial use. Whatever came with it is good CCS rated stuff! The coil looks too big for 27.125MHz, most likely 13.56 or what Carl said. I have seen several of this general type but that means nothing. Anyway, the F doesn't matter if you are going to convert it.
