Of course we all know Christmas Eve is the NIGHT BEFORE Christmas
so I'm reading this to mean the message etc is to take place the MORNING
of the 24th.

For the benefit of the GMT/Local time conversion challenged, that
should (if memory still serves me) put the transmitter start-up at 2:30AM
EST and message start at 3:00AM EST the 24th...

For the left coast peoples just subtract 3 hours and your good to go...

Hi!

Correct, the morning of the 24th at 07:30 Z.
Just as a piece of information, the 24th is Christmas with capital C here.
On the 24th Santa comes with his gifts, needless to say, the 24th is the important day.

I'm getting things ready here to copy...

Of course, I'm doing a bit of cheating by taking advantage
of the wide-band SDR in Holland  Grin

Geez from a look at the users on there, I'm not the only
one setting on 17.2 Kc Shocked (I counted over 175 listeners...)

2:35am here and no sign of a start-up yet ...

When they got it up to freq the signal on the Web SDR was a solid S-8
in Holland...   Nice clean keying; good sounding signal, T-9x.
