WTB: General coverage vintage RX

Friend of mine would like to listen to SW on an oldish tube-type receiver and is skilled enough to replace electrolytics, paper caps, etc. if necessary. Limited budget, like under $100. He's been outbid on a Halli S-85 and is now thinking about an S-40. I added HQ-100 and National NC-188 to the list of candidates.

Anybody got something reasonably decent they could part with? Ideally it would be in the DC area so he can come play with it first, maybe with me along, but he's willing to buy nonlocally.
