Send this guy an E-mail describing the culprit and location:

Paul Oie

paul.oei@fcc.gov

He has been working on cleaning up the HF bands from crap like LED signals and the like.

I wonder if he would also address interference to the BCB? We have a citywide electric train system and it's a huge interferer. I'm afraid to complain because the next thing in this crooked city will be ten code inspectors looking at my lawn, house, etc.

A new Rigol spectrum analyzer is coming to work for my lab. I intend to ask permission to borrow it for familiarization training (lab work seldom is very instructive of the full features). There is something in a house down the street making beeping noises on 160M.

Good to know. I have been having an intermittent power line noise problem since the end of last year. When the noise is cranking I can't much on 75 meters, it's quite aggravating! I have complained several times to the local power company but they have been slow to respond. Finally in June a fellow came out and we worked together and pin pointed the noise source. Now it's just a matter of getting someone out to repair the problem.

I'll keep the email address handy for future reference.

Thanks!

Is the FCC's recommended procedure for reporting "broadband noise" to send the reports via email to this person ??  If so can you point us to a related page on the FCC web site?

What is Mr Oei's title ?  As far as I can tell he works in the FCC LA district office ...

Thanks

Found this at http://www.earthsignals.com/press/?p=1615: "If your email to Nader Haghighat, former District Director of the Los Angeles District Office, Western Region, Enforcement Bureau, FCC, relates to a communications matter in the greater Los Angeles or Las Vegas geographic areas, to help ensure efficient routing for proper handling please resend your email to Acting District Director Paul Oei at paul.oei (at) fcc.gov or to CTR-LA (at) fcc.gov."

Sounds like he's just a regional "G" man.
