There is somebody trying to sell a RCA 1R1 Broadcast Transmitter for nearly $2,000.00!

O.M.Gosh,.......My back and legs start to ache looking at it, but it brings back a memory of my cousin, John Bailey, former owner of WJZM AM-1400, Clarksville, TN. He had one running on WJZM when I was growing up in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, and he kept that thing sounding great until the late 80's, when his health was starting to go down and he sold the station, with his partner, Charlie Malone.

At my grandfather's funeral, he told me a few things about that RCA Transmitter and how he made it sound so good. This was back around 1990. Brings back memories of my late Dad taking me up to WJZM and visiting John. I miss both of them. My Dad was a part time country music songwriter, but he had to work a fulltime job to feed us three kids!

I think I'll just settle for my little BE AM-1A, 1 KW Box, only 90 lbs!
