Congratulations on reaching such a milestone. Enjoy the party and any future endeavors.
I have 42 years in, but since I'm self employed I don't expect a party, much less retirement.

Congratulations on reaching the finish line. One of my co-workers who recently retired suggests taking a couple of months off on vacation, away from home, and changing your phone number. The objective is to disappear from your former employer's contact list and really retire.

Al, So you're retiring.. – goodbye tension, hello pension! And just think you don't have to shave everyday, take a shower, or worry about clean clothes.. Hmmm.. (I take that all back ) Seriously all the best and enjoy being a professional ham operator!! Jeff

Just got off the phone with my sister in Rutland VT. Was talking about coming over "the weekend after I retire." I'm getting all worked up over talking with her about which day would be a better day and it was pointed out to me that it really didn't make any difference since I could come over any day that following week. Duh! Can't get my mind wrapped around the concept
