I don't know how many of you cat-lovers have been following Meow's predicament:

http://www.pawnation.com/2012/05/07/meow-the-shelter-39-lb-cat-has-passed-away#page=1

But he passed away due to resperatory problems.  He was 39 pounds and such a young cat.  We just lost our Siamese "Sophie"  who we greatly missed. Her problem was cancer of the colen that grew so rapidly everyone was caught unaware until it was too late

My condolences, Al Cry.

Our family has always had cats, they are good friends and part of our lives.

Sorry for your loss Al,
I have had many cats over the years and every time you lose one it's like losing a close family member.

Sophie was such a gorgeous Siamese!

Cats are such constant companions but often surprising.  I had a cat who woke me one night to alert me of a burglar!

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it."

What does that say about the value of the cat which was in those times a well-esteemed animal?

Rest in peace good cats who brought us happiness and friendship. Friends for life.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I have a lot of cats here and they are like family. Nanny Cat, grandmother of most of my cat clan, is sitting on my desk next to the keyboard as I type this.

Al,
Sorry for your loss.  As others have said, they become part of our family.  Its tough that most animals are here with us for such a relatively short period of time.
