While looking at my FTP utility, I noticed another directory that I missed.  This shows the mast that takes things up to 70 feet.  Look around 1/2 way down and you will see the yardarm that the old antenna height was at.  That antenna is now at the top.

Hint: click on the picture to see full resolution. The detail of the rope system will become much clearer.

Of another note: this was taken last year.  For those of us who might be in a hurry to see spring, please note that the snow was a lot deeper last year.

I'll try to get some recent pics of the shack itself but I have to clean up the "man-cave" mess first

You had a lot of Snow Al.
We had the weirdest winter here in Western Pa. I think 7 inches total for the entire winter and the temps never went below 20 at night.
But your pics look good from the picture gallery....That tower is nice and the extended mast and arm for the dipole....It looks like it is up to the task ma nature will do to bring it down.

Everything inside is TOP SECRET so don't expect to see any pictures.

Hi Al,

I have been watching your progress on the new shack since you broke ground. I have a question. While every heavy metal shack should have a roll up door, I wonder how you are insulating yours? I want to heat my garage and the insulation is up on the walls and ceiling but I'm still looking for a product to insulate and seal the roll up door panels. How did you do it and if anybody has the HOT SETUP for aluminum roll up garage door insulation please drop me a PM. Thanks.

Mike

I got the highest R value gareage door.  I can't find the paper work right now but I did get THE highest I could.  I have no problem heating that part of the shack no matter how cold it is outside.  Now that you've reminded me, I'll have to ask the YL or my contractor for the info.  But I did pick the highest I could and am not sorry

Pat

I will take some pics of the inside but think I'll wait until I can back the garden tractor out so I can get a good shot.  It's jam-packed with stuff ham related.
