 Hi All ; Pleasantly surprised as were others to find the band in good shape on Saturday afternoon well into 5pm est.
I was able to easily work some east coast stations with not much smoke. I also think I heard John KX5JT in a QSO.

Okay on Holiday! I won't be much help this week until Saturday and Sunday. 12 hr days here for awhile..

ok lane..well, with this heat/humidity, i'm not sitting over the rigs too much...plan to werk ken, ve3maw most of this week, 3725 at 9am..then outside..grass cutting (lots), fly fishing, takin' it slow...

thanks lane..my 16yr old son is up for the week..he's gonna do his written part, of his driving test this week, and give me a hand around here...funny...i have a river on my property, and never seem to find the time to do any fishing...it's not that i'm that busy, but other things seem to get in the way...having a large property has it's merits, but it does require attention, as well..

Had the chance to call CQ AM 40 @1815zulu this afternoon and was promptly rewarded with a QSO.  Rupe, w8gp in Jackson, Ohio on 7295. Conditions poor but okay for NVIS.
His Heathkit Cheyenne sounded swell..Thanks Rupe, 73..
