I'm off to Belton (TX) for the Fall Ham Expo. Belton is pretty much a religious pilgrimage for me. This time there's a gun show in the other half of the expo center. Sounds like the perfect day to me.  Grin Grin Hope to see some of you there.

Well, the rumor about a gun show seems to have been false advertising. Or just a nasty rumor to make sure we all showed up.

The 'fest was pretty good. Not as many folks there as there used to be. Guess the economy is cutting into people's gas money.

All in all, a good day. A really clean Hammarlund HQ-170A followed me home. I figure it'll look pretty good sitting on the desk beside my DX-100. Hope it listens as good as it looks. I had to find a boat anchor receiver before I put the DX-100 on the air. The only other receiver I have is an Icom R-75, and that would have looked really strange working with the old Heathkit.

No, no pictures. We left out of Stephenville at 0500 and I'm not real brilliant at that hour. Didn't even think to put the pocket camera in my pocket.
