Get a load of this. A Japanese co-pilot rolled a 737 by accident, half rolled actually. It must have been fun in that plane. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/09/29/501364/main20113357.shtml?tag=pop;storiesHaving started my career in Controls and Displays at Boeing, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the engineers who designed the airframes.

He mistook rudder controls for the door lock? hmmmm... It reminds me of Tex Johnston the test pilot who barrel rolled a 707 to impress the attendees of an IATA convention. He later explained to the president of Boeing that he was just "selling airplanes" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vHiYA6Dmws&feature=player_detailpage

That Tex Johnston roll might have been worth a billion dollars. Little white knob: door lock Big white knob: rudder trim

Anyone recognize this:

The LTV-modified 51S-1. As the legend goes someone half-blinded by a nuclear blast should be able to adjust it by the knob colors...

When taking flying lessons in Yuma, AZ, back in 1981, I saw a DC-9 do a full roll on the downleg of a T&G.
On purpose, it was said.
Impressive at the least.

Pair of Racal RA6830s in a dual rack on the bottom. Man I would like to find a 9250 preselector for my set up.

No I didn't. I took the picture with my iPhone in preparation for the raid. Unlike the knobs on the 737, the knobs on this receiver have four colors and five shapes.
