I am looking for info on crystal frequencies needed for the out put frequency 3.880 Mhz.
The manual does not give much information  except for the out put frequency of 28.868 requires a crystal 7.217 Mhz.
does any one have an Idea if the scheme changes with lower frequencies.

Thanks  NJ2MR   Mark

If I understand your question correctly, you need 160M or 80M crystals for 80M or 40M output (with 160M xtals you will be doubling to 80M or quadrupling to 40M, while with 80M xtals you will be on the fundamental for 80M or doubling to 40M).
40M xtals can then be used for 40M, or higher, output (on the fundamental for 40M, doubling to 20M, tripling to 15M, quadrupling to 10M).

The Viking Mobile uses fundamental crystals for 80 and 40; 40m crystals doubled for 20,tripled for 15, and quadrupled for 10. I think I have a 3880 crystal you can have, so you can get it going.
