I've just returend from Germany and landed in Northern California.  I've spent 9 of the last 11 years living overseas (Germany, England and Israel).  Was active on the ham bands while away as M0VOA, 4Z8BB and DA1MC. Lots of traveling while overseas and I hope to never see a airport again...
It was great to live overseas and experience different cultures but now I am glad to be back in the U.S.A. forever.

I am now living on a 50 acre walnut grove in Northern California with no neighbours and no manmade static. Lots of A.M. activity here on the west coast.  God Bless America.

Hey Marc, glad to hear you're back after all these years.

I think we worked you in all three countries on 75M when you were there. I remember your Israel stay well.  What an interesting perspective of ham radio your visits must have created.  I've always wanted to operate the 75M DX window in Europe and Russia.

Did you buy that 50 acre QTH in CA or is it a temp location?

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

It will be permanent until I retire.

So far I have a wire V Beam up 60 feet, each leg is about 270 feet long, 80 degree dangle between wires.
Tower going up in the fall.
Very quiet receive location.
Can't wait for fall radio conditions.

Hope to hear you soon on 160-80-40 running a plate-modulated blowtorch on AM.
