Congrats and welcome, Larry.
Sounds like you'll be ready to go on 75 this autumn.

I've got the antennas disconnected until our summer t'storms subside in September. Look for you then.

Congratulations and welcome, Larry. Your going to have a lot of fun. I had just as much fun and possibly more, when I was a tech plus because of forced me to use the higher bands where I learned more about it that I otherwise would have. Antennas are small so building them is fun and easy. Doing skip on 6 meters if fun and fascinating. Working distance stations on 2 meter FM was fun when I could contact a repeater that would normally be out of reach was fun. Of course when I explained what I was doing, people on  the the other end couldn't understand why I was excited about it?

I used to have hour long rag chews on 2 meters on a regular basis. Try to do that without interference on HF!
