I brought a DX-100 home from Belton...

I got a working DX-100 at the Belton TX 'fest today. It'll take me a few days to get things modified around here to get it on the air, but I'm getting closer. I'll be on the air in the proper mode shortly. Seems like forever since I started looking for a DX-100.

Also brought home an HG-10 for the DX-60 which will go to live at K5DDL's shack, thereby giving us another convert to the proper mode.

Congrats on the DX-100.  It's a great transmitter and very easy to work on, plus it covers 160M which a lot of rigs of that era do not cover.  What receiver are you pairing it up with? I have had (2) DX-100's over the years and have enjoyed both.  My current one is a DX-100B. 

The HG-10 pairs up nicely with a DX-60.  I had a lot of fun using that combo during Straight Key Night on December 31st.

Thanks for the congrats. I've been hunting a good DX-100 for quite a while.

For now, I'm going to be receiving on an Icom R-75. Not a BA, but I have it already. I'm on the lookout now -- well, after I save up some more money -- for a good R-390. There was one at Belton a year ago for $150, but I'd spent all my money by the time I got to it. I'm not interested in building a station with just one manufacturer's gear, and I like the look of the R-390. In the meantime, the important thing is to get on the air in the AM mode, so the R-75 will have to earn its solid-state keep.
