Joe, I'm looking for a H-K 1254

What is the plate dissipation of that tube? I'm looking at my 1942 radio handbook and they advertise HK1054L 750 watt plate dissipation and an HK1554L 1000 watt plate dissipation tube.

I will definitely film the move of the BC-339. I have a friend who has a rollback wrecker(he repo's cars) and we will move the 339 with it. I have the article from ER by W6BM about using 3-phase transformers on single-phase, but I might bypass that with a more standard supply.I need to find some 833A's and BIG mod iron for a modulator. Mike W4AEE told me about the one he had, Don. I remember the picture from AM Press/Exchange.

I've now had the rig on the air three times and it seems to be working pretty well. Getting good audio reports. Last time I had it on the air, something started arcing, but I dialed back the power level to 400 watts input, and tonight no arcing at that power level.  Smiley

Good QSO tonight with Bob KA7WOC and Gary KE7AOM who are about 700 miles from my QTH.

A couple more pics of the rig from front and back. Obviously need to clean up the rats nest of meter leads.
