Last evening I viewed the film "The King's Speech", which depicts George VI's paralysing stammering problem and the story of the uncredentialed Australian speech therapist who saw him through his reign as king.

The film, whose story takes place between 1925 and WW2, is filled with what appear to be authentic close-up images of microphones and studio equipment of the era. I found this to be an additional treat from what is already an excellent piece of work. It is well worth the money spent for a ticket, and I highly recommend it.

Hi Don,

My wife and I saw this film last Saturday night.

Yes, it is a really great film that was done with incredible attention to fine detail, not to mention a fascinating and impressive story line. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.

Highly recommended and well worth the price of admission.

My guess is that the scenes depicted at the BBC transmitter site were probably filmed in some museum of the BBC.
