If I proceed with this I know you all will say I have too much time on my hands--well, yer right, but I'm gonna do it anyway.

I am the original holder of W8KHK (1933--son Rick now holds it). I am the second holder of W2DU (not a vanity), FCC assigned in 1968.

Here's the deal: Grab a pencil (with eraser) and a scrap of blank paper.

Write down KHK in dah dit form as, _._ .... _._  OK, got it?

Now erase dah dit in the first K, then erase the dit dah in the second K.

Now imagine a space at the center of the four dits of the H.

What's left?  DU, what else?

OK, I really do have too much time on my hands, sorry, I just had to do it.

Walt,

You need to get back to work on some of those satellite projects.

Walt, I can only aspire to have my mind working nearly half as good as yours, should I ever make it to your age, (and according to my XYL, she going to make sure I never do!)  Wink

i didnt realize it till i read this the second time, but both of them can be sent either forwards or backwards, KHK is a little more obvious that it can , but DU sent backswards is still DU. i know there's a word that describes words like that that  are spelled the same forwards and backwards, like level and racecar, but i forget what it is.

That's an amazing coincidence, Walt!!

Here's another one:

Take the Huzman's old and new calls:  WB3HUZ and K4HX.

If you remove the  W, B, 3, U and Z from WB3HUZ, you are left with the same  "...." H from his new call!
H is the eighth letter in the alphabet. "Eight" sounds like "ate" and I understand the Huzman "ate" Shushi within the last week.

It must have something to do with Providence and destiny.   Wink

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Thank you Mike, for the nice words comparing your mind with mine, but fie on your wife--she needs an attitude change. I hope you can live a life as long as mine in good health.

And thank you all for your responses that added the needed dignity that my post lacked.

While some you think of my post as containing a palindrome, I like to think of it as bi-lateral symmetry with respect to the dits and dahs.
