I saw this wonderful framed painting while visiting the New England Museum of Wireless and Steam earlier this year. It is located at the top of the stairs leading into the room housing the Massie Wireless Station, and is, I assume, some sort of marketing piece. The bottom of the frame as the following "I have a wireless message for you." in what appears to be metal cast type. To the right of this is another casting of a straight key.

I do apologize for the poor quality of the photo, the hall was somewhat dark, and the flash really messed things up.

Does anyone have any idea of the origin of this image?

Looks like it's signed by Charles Allan Gilbert, 1906, a famous and prolific illustrator of the time.

Posted that same message on the AWA list, they had the same results, at about the same time!
You guys managed to find out what I had been searching for for over one month.

I found the postcard below, would sure be neat to find a large scale image.

Good luck with the "grillcloth" water mark on the pic.

You could probably use photoshop to obliterate that one, since it is only at the margin and over the solid background.  It's more difficult when the watermark is translucent and includes part of the picture.

Something I find particularly annoying is the watermark they keep in one corner of the TV screen the whole time the show is running.

I may be getting a higher res scan of the image, so the watermark may be a moot point.

Now I'm really interested for what reason the image was created.

I just did a quick edit with Windows Paint.

I think that would make an awesome QSL card!
