We didn't get the usual reminder from Larry WA9VRH on here.
So I picked this up from another AM-friendly group.
I don't know who the last three anchors are (by call sign), so I put quotes around names.

See you in about an hour ...

FIRST WEDNESDAY AM NIGHT!!! Sponsored by the Collins Collectors Association.

PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGES!!

Wednesday November 3rd 2010 on 3880 kcs at 7:30 PM local East Coast time marks the start of the latest chapter of First Wednesday AM Night, drawing hundreds of vintage stations from across the country.

We encourage stations to check-in on AM using Collins and other AM transmitters, new and
old.  It's an opportunity to revel in this nostalgic mode, enjoy giving vintage equipment a "run," and sharing
some storytelling about classic vacuum tube homebrew and commercial designs.

Typically more than a hundred stations take part in the evening's coast-to-coast AM event by the
time it concludes at 10:00 PM  Pacific Time.

LISTEN for the following anchors and stop by to say hello, won't you? You
don't have to be running Collins or vintage gear to be welcomed into the group.

Bob W0YVA from 7:30PM to 8:30 PM Eastern Time

"Jim" then steps in at 7:30- 9:00PM Central Time

"OJ" steps in at 8:00 to 9:00PM Mountain Time

"Mickey" steps in 8:00PM Pacific Time through closing

Conditions were great last night.  I checked in with the Viking 500 and KP-81 and then listened to the rest of the session on a 651S-1 while aligning a Gonset G-63 on the bench.  Long conditions continued on 75 this morning.  I didn't hear the usual midwest gang on 3885 this morning around 7:30 but I did talk with a station in western Arkansas who came through with a booming signal.

Between both you and Larry reminding me I finally made the first Wed. session for the first time in several months.

As I listened for awhile last night, the thing that kept crossing my mind was, "is this a lonely guys coast to coast net?"  Smiley

Dan,

It is the first Wednesday of each month, not a weekly event.  Sponsored by the CCA.

Actually if you were listening from the initial beginning it should have been called the pandemonium net Wink
