I was there Saturday, did not go Friday or sell due to rain.
Rolled up to the gate at 8:30AM, no line, no cars waiting.
Plenty of spots to park inside.
Sat morning WX cold but no rain, 45 when arrived.
Sun came out later, brightened and warmed things up a bit.
Polish kitchen was great, apple crisp for me, golabki for the YL (who is Polish).
Some boat anchors, nothing really stood out or was that I had to have.
Not much in the way of purchases on my end, mostly parts, $17 worth.
Nobody sells good quality old buzzard bananna plugs any more?
Use these for my balanced feed antenna.

Saw usual suspects, NE1S and XYL, WA1HLR, WB3HUZ, W3JN, KW1I, FOF, Carl KPD, etc. Missed seeing lots of others I had hoped to see, guess the rain kept them away.

Fall colors spectacular!
The drive down and back from Maine is half the fun.

Back home now warming up in front of wood stove, boy that feels good!

So ends the New England Hamfest season for 2010.

I was there on Saturday... wet cold and well a bit empty Sad
Still better than No hamfest.

I did get to meet W1MPY, and bought a small handfull of parts.

Spent more on admission and food.

Still, a big Thank You to the guys who put this thing together.

Gee Bruce I missed you and was parked in that area. I showed up just as the sun was coming up. It was kind of cold but the sun warmed things up until the wind took over. Not a lot of people due to the cold wx. Bought some stuff I needed. Good deal on RX antenna coax (TV coax.) $6 for 100 feet with high quality connectors. Mic and stand with a power supply I needed from FOF.
Bunch of connectors and some parts. Long ride and tired feet to drive almost 6 hours and do the flea.

Are FETs supposed to glow like that?

My wife, 2 kids and I went over today....

The only signs of rain were what was left of the huge lakes that had taken over parts of the grounds, and a few, still shell-shocked looking people who had weathered the storm and stayed the night on the grounds.

Met Steve, HUZ for the first time, W1MPY also....   oh yes and W3JN was another I hadn't met until today...

Then the other characters,
Todd KAQ
Steve QIX
Brent IA
Mark QFX
Tim HLR
Carl KPD
MR Mike RC
Larry NE1S
Bob REC
Al   VTP

Was at the stage when Q picked up his mini-log, but didn't intruduce myself...

I know there were others..

I didn't see very much interesting equipment by the time I got there it was gone?
Not that I was shopping for anything that is already built  :-)

Filled a backpack to overflowing with only brand-new bits and pieces....
terminal strips, RG-174 coax, pcb stand-offs, beefy square ceramic standoffs ... heatshrink.

Other little odds and ends...
Spent about $40.   ( the ceramic stand-offs alone are $4 each online, I bought 10 of them ... I think I made out real good on the backpack full for the same money)

Over-all a good day out with the family.
:-)

Arrived in Northwood, NH at about 6:00 PM on Thursday and there was no rain yet. Overnight that sure changed! Friday was rain, but I don't remember the wind being that bad. Saturday dawned with no rain but a bit lower temperature and wind. Even with the weather there was a pretty good crowd and I found a couple of good things.
Got home at about 11:15 PM (just under 12 hours). Pictures and more info to follow.......

Frank, sorry we missed you OM. Guess it will be only the GHN until spring. Nancy and I might take a trip out west before the end of the year, perhaps we can meet up. We were in Enfield, CT a few months back looking for the site of Jonathan Edwards old church, never did find it.

Pete, tnx for the tip, many of the newer plugs won't accept the larger diameter wire that I use for my antennas. Will look at those.

Dave ZRF, I forgot my camera this year. :-(
Good news is that as i was leaving I did see JTD's XYL taking photos, so perhaps more will be forth coming.
The few I have seen are up here from Jon --> http://myrockport.com/world.htm

Good time but somewhat brief.
Drove up yesterday but passed because of the wx. Got their early today.
Saw W1UJR, NE1S, W3JN, KA1KAQ/4, W1UX, KF1Z,
Bought a really neat HB buzzardly rig. from K1SG. Runs a pair of Taylors in PP in the final. Will post pics later

Well...

I had a good time. First saw W1UJR, then Timmy HLR and a few other folks. Things were slow Saturday and I was not in a buying mood. Saw an interesting Coast Guard HRO-50T1, and yes did see Steve's HB transmitter. Spent about $15.00 on adapters and connectors.

I feel this flea is a week or two late, and we are dealing with the poorer weather die to the date. I bet the spring flea will be "da bomb".
