http://tentec.com/ - they now have these glow in the dark knob cover things. I could imagine flooding the operating area with radiation from UV LEDs and enjoying this. The ad there also says they help you punch through the pileup. I got to get some of those.

GLOW IN THE DARK KNOB RINGS!!!!!!! My world is now complete.  Grin

As far as punching thru anything other than my patience, they're talking about their speech compressor that's pictured underneath the glowing c rings.

If you've ever heard one on the air, it's like talking thru a kazoo hooked up to a 10kW PA head connected to bullhorns that have been fashioned into headphones.

"Piercing" doesn't quite describe it.

Ten Tec must be in big financial trouble.  Either that or we may as well accept the fact that ham radio and CB are now essentially no different from each other.   The debasement of ham radio is complete.  Time to go buy one of those echo mics.

What a guy does with his glow in the dark knobs in the privacy of his shack is nobodys business.

Well, I concede I was engaging in some hyperbole  Wink

It's not much worse than those thousand dollar world maps with the built in time zone clocks.  Over the years there have been plenty of silly items sold to hams.
