This HT-32 was the one I bought for Ken from Mark, K3MSB at the York PA Hamfest last April or May, who generously let it go for a good price.  Mark mentioned it had power output problems; Ken's writeup narrates his search for the problem.  The solution is good info for any HT-32 owner!

Wonder what's the real story for that 22k resistor? Did the 220k appear to be factory wired?

Nicely Done Article and on the subject mentioned  about the high voltage sections "One Hand In Pocket" when making those measurements even when the plug is pulled unless all was discharged completely.

Just an addendum. K6FC's unit S/N is in the 1500 range. My HT-32 has a S/N in the 8000 range. R160 in my SSB generator is also a 220K factory original component. If anyone else has the chance, further verification of the factory part value that was used in production would be beneficial to see whether this is a design or production run gaffe.
