What model scope is that sitting on the table next to the guy checking new T368s?  Its on page 14 of the Electric radio number 252 for may 2010.

Thanks!

Clark,
I provided most of the pictures for the article, but unfortunately nothing was noted on the back of the photo's.
It's only a guess on my part, but the scope definately has that miltary look to it.  Since Jack made many trips to Ft Momouth, it may have been a scope from the Army.
Sorry I can't give you any more details.
Regards,
Joe, W3GMS

Maybe someone will recognize it..

Joe,
Jack sent me a nice letter in the mail asking for information on my 6100.  I have emailed him off QRZ.  Does he get email?

Hi Clark,
I think you mean Jim, W8KGI.  He is trying to track SN so we can see really how many were made.  I know Jim does read his email often so I will find out if he got yours.  Thanks for taking the time to send him your SN for your 6100.  Jack, W3GC was very proud of that transmitter.  Its a shame it was a few years late hitting the market otherwise I am sure they would have sold more.

Yes.. Sorry..  Jim.. I sent him a large email with information and questions to his QRZ email.. Ask him to check it. Its the ARRL one. He probably never uses it much.

Mine is 198.. I got the thing on accident.. I thought it was a 5100.. Then when I got home with it. We realized it was a 6100.. I tried to sell it off but nobody wanted it. I think now, I will restore the thing and get it on the air for vintage SSB nets. I got a BW SSB converter for my R390. So I can get on in style Smiley

Clark,
I just forwarded you message to Jim, W8KGI and I am sure I will hear something back.

Well, even though the 6100 is a SSB rig, its a very good one for its day.  It is very well made and the component quality is top notch.  For those rare SSB contacts, I think you will enjoy it!

The 5100 is a great AM rig as well.  Very well made and they sound good on the air.   They are around, so I am sure you will find one.

I just got a BW370.. Its a nice one.  However, I cant get it to work with my R390.  Going to tear into it today.. Maybe its a tube or a cap:)  Its going to sit nex t the R390/T368C.  I will post some picture of it later. I am setting this up so I can get the 6100 going on SSB.

WOW.. That was easy.. Someone rewired the terminal strip on the back so the speaker was not hooked up.  THey must have used external audio with it..

This thing ROCKS!!!   Smooth clear clean SSb from my R390.. I am comparing it to my Icom Pro.  The Damn thing has less noise, Better audio and I can hear everyone on the band!
