Gee, Id go for it; look at all the valuable parts, a chicken foot and National knob, a rare and unique meter and several classic tubes for the audiofool. Maybe even some Black Beauties below deck.

"Used" described it. As in "used in a swamp".. I am not sure there are $10 + shipping worth of good non-corroded parts there.

I spy a 6DQ5 and a genuine Heath knob.

The "Polished Ebony" chicken foot knob alone will bring big $ on the Guitar thread of Ebay.

I wish we'd gotten an underchassis pix. I'll bet there are at least 10 BB resistors, complete with colored stripes.

Seriously and sickly to say, Black Beauties are selling for big bucks on Ebay.
Yeah, I know we've repeated this stuff endlessly.
..think I'll go plant a garden.

I think it's just certain values that sell. I remember an R-388 that I bought on ebay and later sold the same way, was loaded with BB. Probably $3000.00 worth at ebay prices Huh

Update: I never knew that type of knob was called a Chicken Foot? I somehow don't get the picture?

Big, big middle toe pointing the way.  Lagging toe dragging.
               or
Big leading beak, Fat chicken mid-section or turkey with big tail fanned in rear.

I sent this note to the seller:

That looks like a nice transmitter for restoration,
I wonder if you would post a picture under the chassis?

Thanks Terry

 " it's made of TUBES! "   haha!

Terry,
It looks as if your request for a chassis flip shot has been answered.
It also looks like a cap pulled a "Jiffy-Pop" in there, not sure.
Some nice little airgaps in that bitty. I see potential.
A gratuitous Tube shot next please, now that we've seen her bottom  Wink

Looks like it may be a 6 or 2 meter rig. He had a chassis picture on there and instead of adding a picture, he deleted one as well. Someone else should ask him to post a pic of the chassis again Grin  No BB's in there but there is one rare wax covered cap. A must have for the serious collector.

Huh,
I live about 15 minutes from this seller. ( don't worry, i won't grab that rig  Cool )
i'm tempted by that tall rack but that's a lot of metal for my small shack. I think it's too shallow for my SP-600 also. Looks like the back is closed.

OK,
The seller sent this pic of the rig from the back. It looks like his letters are inked on it:  "W2TDK"

BB's are capacitors...  't was a slip o' the toungue.

You guys are missing the genuine ceramic double crystal octal socket, ceramic switches, but did catch of Hammarlund APC's or whatever,  and nice catch on the AB pot, pure gold.

One of us ought to pick this up and restore it. Wouldn't take much to convert to 6M AM.  It could be our mascot.  oops, their goes the price.
