Anybody out there have a 1960 or 1961 Call Book?

If so, Could you look up either WV2ROC or WA2ROC (both my calls back then) and help me find out when I was first licensed?

Or maybe someone can tell me how to do this myself.

I have a Summer '62 without either call. My Fall '66 has the WA2ROC listed

Hi Dick,

I read your post and said to myself "I worked that guy way back when" and darned if I didn't have your QSL card in a box in the basement. I lived in Wantagh at the time so it was big DX for of both of us...maybe 2 miles. The QSO date was Aug 12 1962 on 40 cw. I was 15 at the time.

I've attached a scan of card. Hope it posted correctly I've never posted a picture before on this site.
If you would like the card back I'll mail it back to you.

Steve

Hey Steve.  You are also in my first log book for that QSO.

There were also several other hams in Wantagh, Bob who lived behind PC Richards on Sunrise Highway (actually in Bellmore) and Jim Yankou, call long since forgotten.

Then Vito, WA2PJF in Massapequa, and the list gors on and on.

Thanks for the memories!
