Help!

I work for a NY Fire / Rescue Co. as part of building maintenance and dispatch.

After years of different contractors "updating" our communications equipment we have a big mess.

The insurance company is insisting that we bring the tower and peripherals up to code as far as grounding / poly-phasing and rightly so.

We have had several people look at it and it's obvious we need some work done.

My supervisor has asked me to find someone to bring us to the Motorola standard ( I forget the designation just now ), with out abusing us on the bottom line cost.

The estimates have been all over the place! we are not a big budget fire house. We can't afford to get gouged.

We are in Nassau County NY, on Long Island.

Any ideas as to a reputable contractor, etc., would be welcome.

                                                 Thanks,
                                                         D.

We have used these people several times.

A few members of this B-board have seen their flagship operation up close.

I found some motorola shops a joke. Be careful the name means nothing today except high prices. Many subcontract the work to the cheapest whore.
You are better off dealing with a guy on his own.
Big Al K1JCL KNOWS HIS SHIT! Ask Tom Vu.
He runs his own shop and made the local motorola guys look like clowns.
That is why they are mostly gone.

Here is the Moto R56 standard for towers.

http://www.maplenet-inc.com/grounding

They would not install our trunking radio system and support any circuit board repairs or card exchange unless our towers met that standard. We had a 10 channel 10 site system
