Got this recently thinking it was just an SP600.  After not finding any JX number or info on it, we set it aside.  Today, While talking 40 AM, Bill w7hg told the story on the Northern Radio company Model 159.  Military ID R-450/FRR28

This was a standard SP600J that was ordered in bulk and sent to Northern radio company. It was modified and then sold to the Military.  It has Tripple Diversity.

It also includes INT and EXT HFO AND BFO switches along with AVC settings for Slow, med and FAST.

I understand it is rare. No idea on the value.  The meter is stuck but the thing powers right up and works great.  If you know more info about this radio, I would love to hear it. Not sure what I will do with it.  I guess if a collector wants it, They can have it.

Don't know much about it, but I did own one for several years.   It now lives in Spokane and works out regularly.   Grin
