I had a very pleasant time listening in on the Texoma Traders Net on 3890 KC. Started listening at 7:40 AM CST 1340Z.

Here's rundown on the stations heard. The signal strength is as shown on the R-390's dB meter, so it is not really S-units. I didn't try to split hairs looking at the meter.

The antenna is very small.

Any station making +20 was clear with very little or no noise. The ones at +10 were noisy but intelligible. The others, were barely legible.

Local noise and slopbuckets=+10

W1P? (with rhode&schwartz rx for sale)
WW9W Allen TX, NCS +20 very loud and perfectly intelligible audio, sounded like a clipper/limiter in use?
K5JDU Antlers OK +20
WD5BZO +10 David, happy birthday David, "not (audio)procesing yet". very clear natural speech.
K5Z0H +20
K5BAI +20 "THE OLD DAWG" - I know this guy from hamfests, quite a character.
W5IS +10
W5TMG +10 using a "32V2 and 75A2"
W5OJO +10
W1PE +20
K5KXD +10 Jerry using the 'tower of power' - I seen that rig on the QRZ site.
W5WN?
AD5VO
N5DWV - QRZ entry shows a very buzzardly tx -look at it!
N5NYZ
W5QBB/VV/?? 1439Z - carrier, then asking if freq was clear. I could not be sure of the call. Apparently he could not hear the net but he was trying!
K5JWL +10

after this, the stations seemed far away, maybe the band was going. It's nice to hear the AM. Usually I don't pick up 80M very well here.
