Hello Wayne and welcome! Looks like you are getting set up on 6 meters with a nice vintage piece of equipment. I don't know how much local activity you have in your piece of the "3" area, but if you point the beam up to the northeast there is usually someone hanging out on 50.4 throughout the day.

Good luck!

Welcome aboard. Wayne. You'll find a pretty big VHF-AM interest here, particularly for 6m. I've got some old Clegg gear that I'm looking forward to using soon. Never had any luck up north beyond SSB stuff, hopefully 4-Land will provide more opportunities.

Good luck with the Gonset, they are a stout little(?) rig!

Hello Wayne
Welcome to Ancient Modulation.
A lot of us are on the HF freqs. I don't know your QTH layout, if you have room for wire aerials or Verticals, but hopefully we'll work you somewhere "down the log"

Hi wayne   Smiley

As others have said, there are a fair amount of us who do 10m and above AM.  I'm one of them.  There's something about 6 & 10m, when they do their thing.  I had fun tonight, working an opening on 6, to the East Coast.  Mark, K3MSB and I had an enjoyable QSO on 50.420 MHz AM about an hour ago.  !0m AM is also fun.
