Update on my EICO 720 project

It's been a long time but I thought it would be good for you-all to know I haven't given up on my 720.  I'll provide a couple links from past posts to FYI.

When we finished the tests, the 720 started blowing fuses.  That's where we left off.  Since then, the old girl has been restored to operation with a new GZ34 and three connections to the Operate switch properly soldered.  These connections were either not soldered or cold soldered and were arching thereby causing the 720 to blow fuses in standby!!

I've included a PDF on the current situation.  I'm hoping to get the 720 on the air late summer or early fall.

Nice clean-up and fix-up job Al. The nice thing about your project is that you can fairly easily slide different RF decks of similar power ratings right into that setup. I used to have a Bogen PA amp that looked like the one pictured in your 720 setup. I can't recall what it had for output tubes, but it produced somewhere between 60 and 75 watts I believe.

That one's a Bogen M60.  It puts out 60 watts.  Uses 8417's which are made of unobtainium.  I have plans of putting a SS amp in there -- either an Eico Cortina 3070 or a Sampson Servo 120.  I have the manual on the Bogen for what it's worth
