CKLW has got to be one of the worlds best AM BC stations. They play outstanding content, non formatted, each DJ has their own show with a theme.

My favorite is "Midnight Blues" - they play the absolute cream of the crop "race music" as it was called back then.

Does your set have the bass reflex units in the bottom of it?

Yep, the main speaker and the other ones are in perfect condition. not a rub mark or hole anywhere. The chassis is really clean too, nobodys been in it screwing it up.

I'll have try CKLW down here, Derb. Just down the dial a bit is AM 740/CFZM (can't remember their previous call) in Toronto, another fine station. 50kw gives them a wide coverage area. They also have a nightime show called 'Midnight Blue' with Eva D which showcases a lot of older jazz songs and such with 'suggestive' lyrics.

Sunday nights are especially interesting with Scottish music from 4-6PM, followed by Radio Erin/Irish music, football scores, etc from 6-7, and Big band music from 7-midnight. They also have a number of moldy oldie type shows with stuff from the 50s-80s.

Can't wait to hear your reports once you get the big Philco online.  Grin
