Ah well couldn't get much more happening on 40 so I went down to 3.885 and jumped in with Jeff W0XV.. always a super signal and Mr. Heil K9EID joined us.  What a treat!  My freshly modified DX-60 was given a great audio report from both guys.  WC3K mods are a MUST for the DX-60!

I didn't get into the shack until the jammer had already started up.

Listened about 0500 as African signals were beginning to drop out.  Noticed 7165 was clear, and BC station was active on 7175, with no jamming.

I decided to try playing a little CW on 7080.  Made a contact, but my VFO started going wild.  Shifted frequency spastically and sounded like RTTY.  I replaced the oscillator tube and haven't noticed it again.  Of course, like 99% of my radio failures, this one was intermittent, so won't be sure right away if the new 6BA6 took care of the problem or not.
