Sheesh!

You need a 200A, 3-phase 240 volt service to power the thing.

I've got those on the commercial FMs, but it might be a problem for a residence- LOL.

Beautiful piece of gear, prolly draws the better part of 100 KW off the line. $10-$20 bucks an hour...What would the XYL say?

Nothing as long as she didn't hear the diesel generator running..

45KW AM transmitter from ebay- $3,800
150KW diesel set, used - $6,500
big mufler and sound barrier for generator - $1500
no questions from the XYL - priceless!

ifn I had that transmittar, my legal limit would be 22.5 KW.... for the 1 minute 15 seconds I could afford to run it.  Embarrassed

Burt needs it. He wanted a good AM linear.

But on that amp, if one were to put up a cloudwarmer array, and try for EME, I wonder if that would have enough power to work. A benefit would be to wait till those pesky geese fly overhead..
