I am just on the verge of getting the AF-67, PMR-6a and M1070 on the air.

BUT......the hold up is the lack of a schematic for the M1070...I cant read DjVu files as I run a Linux box.....and a manual for the PMR-6a

I have finished the mods to the AF-67 and as soon as I can get power to it and the PMR-6a and an antenna, I will be on the air. Smiley

I could also use a proper AF Gain control knob for the AF-67, but that isnt holding up the day of first transmission.  If anyone has one for sale, I would be interested.

Is there a version of Irfanview for the linux?

If not, I could take the file and make a PDF of it, but that really will bloat it. I could post it online till you downloaded it.

If you could convert it to PDF I can read it.  My server can handle up to 10 mbyte files as attachments to email??

Jim,

I just rebuilt and restored an M-1070 and will email you very clear pics of the manual and schematic tonight.  It's much more clear than the one on BAMA, but it's the 11-5-58 version.  I marked up the schematic with the changes as detailed on the later 3-25-60 version (as on BAMA).

I also restored an AF-67 and PMR-6A.  I will see if I can make up a pdf of the BAMA PMR-6A manual for you and email it to you tomorrow night.

The PDF of a 10M DJVU bloats to about 40-60M. Too big for my e-mail. If the original files are online so I could download them via HTTP or a temporart FTP, I could d/l them, convert, and put them online on an unlinked page, then tell you where. That's the best idea I can think of.

There are some free pdf writers that look and feel kie printers in your menus, but unknown what versions of linux they work with. cutepdf is one. But beware some of them degrade images.

Dave, can you copy me on the files please? I find the rig interesting, and a friend has one.

Jim and Pat,

I emailed you the pics.  Let me know if they came through okay, as the attached files were big!

sure did, thanks! I have always wanted a set like that, but so many sets, so little time, and they are not so common any more.
