Marconi made some very stout gear over the years. The FRT-501 (think that's right) is a favorite of our AM buddies north of the border. Sorta like their T-368, if you will.

It's always good to see these fine pieces of history preserved for the future, especially while the folks who built, used, and maintained them originally are still here to paint a clear picture for us.

What I find so impressive is there is little iron in this beast, mostly brass and copper, even the shell is brass. This reminds me of a war veteran hero standing at attention in their class A's. It makes a statement on many levels.
