hi from tim...rg6 is 75 ohms...ok, cant seem to find rg59, or rg11 much these days...so my question is: will this stuff handle any RF, and what might be it's velocity factor?

CW is just a narrower version of AM

The best grades of RG-6 have lower loss than the equivalent 50 Ohm cousins such as LMR240 and and about as good as LMR300 at about half the price per foot.

It will handle RF. If you look at the dielectric breakdown ratings, you'll get an idea of how much. RG6 is rated at 2700 volts. The familiar RG8  is rated at 4 or 5kV. RG59 is rated at 2300 volts. Hope this helps.

Seems to me I read somewhere that RG6 is not that great with RF below 50 or 60 MHz. Something to do with the type of shielding used in the cable and would radiate RF all over the place at lower frequencies. Maybe it was some particular type of RG6 since I believe there are several variations. RG59 and RG11 are still available from dealers. RF Connection has them:
