Ok, so what did I miss?
Allow me to live vicariously via your camera.  Wink

The WX on the coast of Maine is delightful today, sunny, mid 60s, imagine it must be so down at the fest.
I may see some of you fellows tomorrow, weather and sleep permitting.

I assume these are 2008 photos but who knows ?  Alot of these hamfests look the same from year to year.

Oddly enough Bruce there is also a picture of your station on that very same web page.    Grin

Cool, thanks!
Yes, my 30's station is there, also Bob N1TZU's neat station as well, scroll down the page to see his very nice 1950s station.

Will make it so.

At first I was planning on staying home to help the carpenter redoing the barn, but can't give up the fall foliage tour, and radio meet.

Nancy and I will be driving down with Larry's YL, Elaine, should be there about 9:30 or so.
Look forward to seeing what goodies you have left on the table OM.

Guess I'll get my own pix after all.

We (Ron and I) were set up by the North end bleachers today. Hope to be there tomorrow
Have an SX-62, HW-16 and DX 60 on the table.
No unreasonable offer will be refused! Will even consider stock in publicly traded companies  Grin

CW is just a narrower version of AM

Bruce,

How was the great Nearfester? I am cooling my heels in JY1 land (actually JY8 for foreigners like me).
Send more pictures!

Hi Mike, no photos here OM, sri abt that, was too busy chatting up with the other fellows.
Many of the folks had cameras out, so sure that we'll see some photos soon.

JY1, like Jordan, business I assume?

You missed a great time, we were there for about 3 hours this morning, then cut down to drive down to Portsmouth, and up the Maine coast. Wish you had made it, much to chat about in terms of old radios.
It was Nancy's first hamfest, and she really enjoyed the people and the scenery, well worth the drive down from Maine.
Attendance seemed a bit light today, but I assume that most folks made the pilgrimage yesterday, and there was plenty of loot to be found.
All together, I spent a total of $2 with David, 1EUJ, for an old Thordarson CHT series filament xformer and for two old books.
The first a text on the physical sciences, and the other a Horatio Hornblower nautical novel.

Safe journey!

Really surprised you didn't take the hockeypuck Bliley xtal holder, Bruce.

VERY surprised that folks are still browsing and buying late into the night.

Found a Drake 2A for a friend of mine, make a little scratch, and had some wonderful conversations. I don't have much stuff to sell anymore, but maybe I can spare the time for next NEARFest and setup a station with my modified Tempo One (I know, I know...).

Anyone who did not make this fest missed a good one. Lots of folks, food and colors. The wx couldn't have been better.
