The summary of the IARU Meeting held in June 2008 was reported in the ARRL Letter, Vol. 27, No. 25. For those who like to digest this type of information as possible future discussion fodder (i.e. "they're out to get us", "amateur radio is going downhill", "bring back the good old days", "I want to be a 21st century Director", etc. etc.), the following link will take you directly to the IARU News Release, dated June 26, 2008.

And, here are all three IARU Band Plans under one link; just click on Band Plan, dated January 19, 2008:

6. A resolution offered by Region 1 that seeks to improve the operating standards of radio amateurs was adopted. The AC endorses and recommends the principles set out in the booklet "Ethics and Operating Procedures for the Radio Amateur" by John Devoldere, ON4UN and Marc Demeuleneere , ON4WW, and encourages each IARU Region to consider this booklet, with a view to adopting it, including any Regional variations that might be felt appropriate.

I wonder what this is supposed to imply.  Has anyone seen a copy of that booklet?
