Sigh...300ft long wire out the window, up to the roof, anchored to the tv antenna mast on one end, and the telephone pole/basketball goal post on the other end.

I can *just* make out some CW on 40M. added a grounded-grid 6C4 RF amp, untuned. Less antenna noise, but other than that, it's full on AM overload all over the dial, from KWHR. they broadcast on 6190, and it's completely blanketing everything from 6Mhz to 8Mhz.

I am beginning to consider ditching the regen approach, and tuning the mixer. About a dozen tuned circuits ought to stand some kind of chance at killing the broadcast interference.
