Anyone ever have trouble putting the top cover onto this unit? I am siting here playing rubicks 730, seems wierd why it dont just go on easy, Im sure its something simple,  Anyone.....................?

NEVER MIND I WAS BEING A DUMB-ASS, FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT, WHAT A TIGHT FIT IT HAS!!!!!!!

My top cover won't fit on any longer because the modulation  reactor I added is too tall.  I removed the clipper components entirely, cross-laminated the mod xfmr, changed some coupling caps in the low level audio section, and added the 40H 120 MA reactor (it really was designed for mod reactor service).  The thing is now flat from about 20-10,000 Hz.  I get excellent audio reports with it.  I normally feed the audio from the same 500-ohm line that feeds the other transmitters, using the "phone patch" input, bypassing the built-in speech amp altogether.

I have used the rig on 10m only, so haven't fired it up in quite a while.

There is a photo of the rig in my main station photo, just to the right of the big xmtr, sitting on top of the monitor speaker.
