Specialist Carlos Arellano was on patrol in Baghdad’s Green Zone on April 23 when he discovered the WMD on the street. He asked one of his fellow soldiers to snap a photo of him kneeling next to the object.  The photo was published nationwide in a well known media outlet.

“I was stunned by the photo,” says editor-in-chief Steve Bloom. “I immediately called Carlos’s friend and started to make arrangements to publish it.”

Sp. Arellano was in the Army Reserves, called up to active duty and sent to Iraq. In an email, Arellano explained that he “stumbled upon the object by accident.

The US government has officially classified this as a weapon of mass destruction, and spent billions of dollars in yet-unsuccessful attempts to find and destroy them.  Despite massive military training efforts by US personnel, Iraqi security forces appear ambivalent.

Rest of the story, photos

Excellent.. Grin

It's the 60's in Digital Format...We have a Young Brash man running for office,,  we have "Civil Terror" instead of Civil rights issues.. Total Disillusionment and alienation from anything Gov or Administrative Systems...  we're going to the moon-back to the moon...something on that order...we're at war on something..there's drugs there...all that's needed now is another Dylan..Campus politics in mass...we gotta find a "Gate" for something... Grin and it's  complete...

I just hope the Music will be as inspiring...

Sounded more like an editorial than a news story, not that one should be surpised by such "reporting."

Or in the eye of the writer. The paragraph below is clearly a political statement since it has little to do with fact.

That, associated with the ridiculous pot magazine article, is a joke. I thought it was funny.
