I'm so excited I'm at a loss for words right now.. But I have to shout it from the mountain tops! So quick and simple..
I popped the B I G Question to my Girlfriend..

She said:

YES!!

Looks like I won't die a lonely, grumpy bastard after all! Smiley

Now if you'll excuse me I've got a plane to catch to Mount Everest I've got some shouting to do!! Cheesy

Congratulations!!! Hell, with the right woman, life can be real good, and I'm sure you've got the right woman!!! This is indeed something to be really happy about!

Maybe you'll even be able to induct her into the fold, just like the Mayor of the AM Ghetto did!

Thanks!

Looks like I gotta do some serious spring cleaning around here! Better call up and order a dumpster! LOL

I might also be moving the shack to the shed! Maybe I can find a Puss Bus to park in the yard! Cheesy

Gonna be hard finding a new place with all this property for antennas, but this place will have to do for a while.

She's not the lucky one.. I am! Smiley

HeHe Blaine, It won't be that bad.

Shes pretty receptive to radio. I doubt she'll develop any interest in Ham Radio as an operator but she thinks the idea is really neat. We'll see. If I have to relocate the shack into the shed I don't mind. It was my original intent anyway.

Eventually we'll have to move but staying here the rent is cheap so it will give us time to save up for a bigger abode somewhere. Hopefully somewhere I can string a wire or two..

Dirt pits, but it an asphalt NASCAR Track. Only the Pro Guy's were privileged enough to pit on cement.. Smiley Pro Stocks, Late Models, and Modifieds and the occasional celebrity tour. But us low life Semi-Pro Mini-Stocks and Street Stocks got the dirt pits.. LOL

I've only driven on dirt once. It's neat but not for me. It's also brutal on the chassis of the car so it's even worse on the wallet.

And yes, she loves race cars as long as she's not a passenger in one! She gets on me every time I do some NASCAR style tactics on the road. Grin

None the less I don't have a car right now. There's no tracks in the area to support it. Moving south into the NASCAR Heartland is always a possibility if I can find a job down there. Both of us would enjoy the warmer weather too..

Congratulations Randy, best wishes to you and the other half to be...

My wife hasn't grumbled too much about the first floor shack, sure beats the dungeon!

Her only complaint is she claims the floor is going to give away someday with all the BoatAnchors in the shack here...

Congrats, Randy!

From someone who did the same thing just a year ago (I think around the 26th of March), I feel yer pai....er....excitement!

Seriously, it's a great thing. Jen and I got married in October and I'm in the process of selling the house to move south with her.

Finding a good one is the trick. A tolerance of interests like old radios, cars, airplanes, trains, cameras etc. is a must.

I'm tryin' Dave! Honest.. Just waitin on parts for my Big-E Rig.. As soon as someone sends me some PCB's I'll be live in 3 dimensional color!

Hopefully I'll get the parts in before we actually set a date because once we do I'm sure things will get real busy and lord knows when I'll ever find the time to sit down and melt lead then. Would be nice to have the rig all built then it'd easy to sit down and yak for a bit now and then.

I've got the RF Deck built and ready to bolt the last few things together, and I've got the Power Supply 95% built and waiting on the High Voltage tranny.. All thats left is the PWM boards for the Modulator so I can start on that. 95% of the parts are here and waiting for some boards to be soldered to..

Hopefully with a big rig and a massive shy hook that's already aloft I won't be so friggin piss weak this time! Cheesy
