For the participants of the Elmac Net.
After the locals left 3870 tonight, 5:00 pm local, I tuned the receiver up to 3885 or there abouts and listened to your net.  I was able to copy about 85% of the check-ins missing only when the local qrm/n took over.  67s, 68s and even a barefoot dx40 was heard.  Nice to hear you guys way out here on Whidbey Island, 40 miles north of Seattle.

The band has been rather flaky this season overall, which has some folks (myself included) frustrated. There was some kinda swap net on 3880 two nights back, mainly 4 and 5 Landers, coming into the northeast well. 30 minutes later, they were all but gone.

Sounds like the band was long to the west again, sure would be nice to have someone to talk to out there when this happens. Problem is, a lot of folks aren't even home from work  out that way when the band goes long here at 6PM.
