While exploring previously uncharted treasure chests in the shed I found a gold mine of used and NOS parts.
Most of them are vintage parts, old caps, transmitting caps, resistors, small / medium air caps, coils, small chokes, tubes, tube sockets, 2 VTVOM's Signal Generators, a Grid Dip meter, gadgets galore! All of them are in unknown working condition, but they look good on the outside!

I could sell these things on eBay but I'd rather trade them within the AM community, I'm not looking to make any money from it I'd rather trade for stuff I might need. I'm sure there are a few things I need I just don't know what they are yet! I still have yet to see exactly what values and all that noise is but I'll see if I can do it this weekend. Unfortunately I can't use any of these on my current project.. I've already spent over $100 in misc. parts and I'm still not done! Oh well...

I'll see what kinda loot I've got and post some details in the sale/trade board when I do.

Ain't it scary to re-discover a quantity of stuff you got and never did anything with ?

Then there's the problem of knowing you have it, and can't find it, so you buy another one.

Dear N3LRX,
We would all appreciate getting a crack at the stuff you mentioned. If it gets recycled into the AM Community, it'll definitely go to a good home!

Best Regards and looking forward to seeing your list!

Better to  have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Is it better or worse to have it and need it but not know you have it? Getting metaphysical here...

If you have it, need it, and don't know you have it,  and then get it again, you will still have what you need mimus what you don't need now, thereby still having it, because you never know when you'll need it again...       klc

Most of us have those caches but call it our junk pile instead of a gold mine.
