This receiver is a fully electronically restored, to factory specs plus, classic Hammarlund HQ-100A receiver. It has been recapped, aligned and peaked. All tubes test in tip top shape for long life. In addition it has been modified with the following:
A fuse plug, back to back diodes on receiver input, over voltage line spike protection, soft start on power up, solid state rectifier, W9MDX audio modification for super hi-fi listening on any 4 ohm speaker, also the detector audio tube has been tapped for use with an external amplifier stereo system. All modifications can be put back to stock. The external speaker is not provided.
It covers the bands from 540KCS through 30 megahertz. It has a working Telechron Automatic Clock-timer and covers the following standard features:
BFO, S meter, Noise Limiter, antenna trimmer, sensitivity controls, Man-AVC switching, 5 position band switch, audio control and Q-Multiplier. It will receive AM, SSB and CW.
You can test this unit at my location to your satisfaction before you purchase. The price includes a copy of operating manual and schematics.
