I accidentally tuned into 160M and heard strong nice mellow audio from K2ORS, Warren, and Phil K2PG. I got in on the tail end of the QSO. Everyone had their fun and static was building....ONLY BETWEEN transmissions. Warren and Phil quieted the ether nicely. There was another station in there making good connection too but seemed like he was having static problems and could not get Phil's call right.

I hope the airwaves were used this past Summer. I tried listening, around 8pm, but I guess everyone waits for 9pm when there's propagation and the static rolls in. Very noisy summer

Great on the activity Fred.  I heard you last season on 1.880 when we were up on the big 85.  Sadly my antenna does the best north and south and not all that great out to the west so I just don't hear the guys in Ohio - Michigan and further out West very well.   Was going to put up an inverted L but not up as of yet.

Good to hear Phil is back on.  I know he as having a major sale included his home at the shore.  Was he in PA or NJ when you heard him on?

Hi Joe
Phil was on the air at his Pa. QTH, The mighty 21E on the air. I'm sure he is having a tough time with employment and the situation in N.J. It would be terrible to have all of that ham gear go in the metal pile. The entire house is a Ham station. True dedication!!
It would be nice if some AM folks make some offers to, at least, buy the equipment in the house.
