Hello,
A few months ago, the topic of the 7360 balanced mod tube and other similar tubes appeared on another list.  I have acquired a pair of CKR1636 sheet beam balanced mod tubes - these are the granddaddy of the 7360; dating back to early radar days / WW2.  It is an octal tube.  I would like to build a project with these tubes (envelope compatible single sideband; I've posted notes on my website for another project I did with an IC-based phase modulator) but need the datasheet or at least pin out for the tubes.

Thanks, in advance, for any help anyone can give me.

Thanks for the post - that is, to me, the classic article on binaural and ISB detection!

The tube is a 1636, the CKR is the Raytheon designator but KenRad and possibly others made it.
I cant locate the spec sheet or pin out but it is referred to as a beam heptode.

If you dont want to go thru the PITA hoops of that site here is the spec sheet in pdf. It is not the best quality but can be massaged.

Thanks to all for the replies.  Special thanks for the app note!  That is perfect!

Working on I and Q modulators using those tube now. Not expecting very good performance now that I see / understand how they work but it should prove interesting anyway.
