The grand-daddy of all shoots is the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot held twice a year in Kentucky.

This is my bowling ball shooter...

I presume you have all the ballistics data recorded so we can adjust rounds accurately.

It's reasonably accurate and repeatable, but the balls vary between 7 lbs up to 16 lbs, most are 14-16 lbs. The heavy balls create more pressure and have a higher ballistic coefficient, thus better range. I get about 4-600 yards with 4 oz. of ffg black powder. I've got a nice WWII artillery protractor to set angle when I'm shooting for accuracy.

Good LOUD fun!!

The anvil firing requires 1 lb. black powder!  aerodynamics of the anvil are not good...accuracy  is about a 7 ft grouping with 3 shots..pretty much straight up and straight down....lots of noise, lots of smoke and you can feel the concussion even standing 50 ft away..I use cannon powder when I can get it...much cheaper than the good stuff or pyrodex..
